Advisory Committee

The Advisory Committee, composed of Zuni artists, educators and community leaders, provides ongoing guidance and insights shaping the development of The Museum of Zuni Art.

Questions for discussion with the Advisory Committee include:

• Representing the Zuni voices: What are the Zuni stories to be told by the Museum? In light of that, how should artwork be organized for display? What kinds of information should be provided about displayed artwork?

• Respecting Traditions: In order to fully respect Zuni traditions, how should donated artwork be handled, screened for potential display and managed, from receiving all the way through display, offered for sale, and/or stored? Are some kinds of artwork more appropriately stored and possibly displayed only in Zuni? How can the Museum appropriately share insight into these traditions?

All input from the Advisory Committee on any aspect of the MoZA/Z-ART operation is appreciated and respected.
